Ivy Tech handles all Hoosier Link financial aid
Since Ivy Tech is the enrolling institution, all financial aid—which may include grants, scholarships, and/or loans—is processed through Ivy Tech and applied toward the student’s Ivy Tech balance only. Any private or parent loans taken out on behalf of the student must also be processed by Ivy Tech.
Important Note: Some financial aid awards will not apply to the Hoosier Link program, including some veterans' benefits and private loans. Speak to a financial aid expert at Ivy Tech to ensure your financial aid awards qualify.
Students applying for federal or state financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should list both the Ivy Tech federal school code (009917) and the IU Bloomington school code (001809).
Any aid or award funds more than the student’s balance at Ivy Tech are credited to the student in the form of a refund. On-campus students may then use this refund to pay toward their bill at IU.
