Navigating two billing systems

Hoosier Link students will receive two bills for each term of enrollment, one from IU and one from Ivy Tech. Charges at Ivy Tech will include tuition, and charges at IU will include student fees and will vary based on housing and meal plan choices. Each institution offers payment plans, depending on the student’s individual case.

Many on-campus students rely on financial aid, grants, and scholarships to use toward their IU bill. These funds are not released until they have been applied against the student’s Ivy Tech balance. As such, there is often a delay in students being able to use this money to pay toward their IU bill. It is each student’s responsibility to be in communication with IU Student Central to discuss payment.

The payment deadlines for IU Bloomington are September 10 (fall semester) and January 10 (spring semester). If you have a remaining balance after the deadline, it will be due on the tenth of the following month. Payment arrangements must be made with IU Student Central to avoid monthly late fees.
