Get ready to help your student make the transition to the Hoosier Link program with important information about what to do next. If they were admitted to the Hoosier Link program, your student will have received an admission email from IU Bloomington. Next up on their to do list are the following tasks.

1. Take time to read Hoosier Link emails carefully.

   Be sure your student reads everything in their offer of admission and all Hoosier Link emails thoroughly. If you or your student have questions, contact Hoosier Link at iulink@iu.edu.

2. Accept their spot as a Hoosier Link student.

   Your student should reserve their space by declaring their intent to enroll by May 1. As a Hoosier Link student, they are not required to pay the enrollment deposit, but they do need to declare their intent to enroll.

3. Create their IU computing account.

   If they haven’t already, your student should use their university ID number (included in their admission letter) to create an IU computing account, which they’ll use complete required tasks.

4. Attend the Hoosier Link Virtual Info Session.

   If they have declared their intent to enroll, you and your student will both receive an invitation to attend the Hoosier Link Virtual Info Session. We recommend attending to learn more about the program—including the financial aspects of being a Hoosier Link student—and get your questions answered.

5. Complete the required Canvas course and tasks.

   If they have declared their intent to enroll, your student will also receive an invitation to complete the Hoosier Link Canvas course. This course will guide them through tasks related to housing, the Ivy Tech application, required documents, financial aid, and more.
